Le Val-Saint-Père - Whenever we visit Ma Normandie, we stay at a bed-and-breakfast here on the lowlands of the Baie du Mont-Saint-Michel on the outskirts of Avranches. These photos were taken on some of our many delightful walks along the estuary trail and the country roads of Le Val-Saint-Père. See Map

Le Mont-Saint-Michel Find it on the Basse Normandie Map - a marvel of architecture, commenced in the eighth century, when, according to legend, the Archangel, Michael, approached the Bishop, Aubert, of Avranches, telling him to build a church on "le Mont-Tombe", as the mount was called at that time. more here
